Talent Partnerships Lead

You will run the expert partnerships engine alongside our founders. The follow-up that never gets dropped. The deck that arrives before the meeting. The CRM that tells us exactly where every conversation stands.

You will run the expert partnerships engine alongside our founders.

Onix is building Personal Intelligence: AI that belongs to you, protects your data, and helps you grow with guidance from real experts. We work with world-class talent in health, wellness, and human performance. These experts do not respond to cold emails from strangers. They get pitched constantly by platforms, publishers, and media companies who want a piece of their brand. Your job is to be the reason they say yes to Onix.

Our founders lead the conversations and close the deals. You are the person who makes that process actually work. The follow-up that never gets dropped. The deck that arrives before the meeting. The CRM that tells us exactly where every conversation stands. The research that makes our founders walk into every room knowing more about the expert than anyone else at the table.

This is not a back-office coordination role. You will be in the room. You will take calls with experts and their teams. You will represent Onix to people whose time is worth thousands of dollars per hour. If you cannot hold your own in a conversation with a bestselling author or a world-renowned physician, this role is not for you. Think of it like running a desk at a top talent agency or managing acquisitions at a major publisher. Part dealmaker, part operator, part intellectual sparring partner.

What You Will Do

  • Own pipeline operations for expert partnerships: tracking, follow-up cadence, CRM management, and status reporting
  • Prepare research briefs, pitch materials, and meeting prep for every expert conversation
  • Manage communications with experts and their teams (agents, publishers, managers, publicists) between key meetings
  • Take meetings independently with experts and their representatives when appropriate
  • Build and refine the partnerships process itself: templates, sequences, tracking systems, and playbooks

Who You Are

You have operated in environments where the people you work with are high-status, time-poor, and constantly being courted by competitors. Maybe you worked at a talent agency, a publishing house, a speakers bureau, or a platform like MasterClass or TED. Maybe you ran BD at a health and wellness brand where the partners were physicians, researchers, or celebrity practitioners. Whatever the context, you know how to work with people who have options, and you know how to make them feel like your organization is the one worth their attention.

You are the kind of person who reads the expert’s last three interviews before a call. Who notices that their publicist prefers email over phone. Who drafts the follow-up before the meeting ends. You combine genuine intellectual curiosity with operational discipline, and you understand that in partnerships at this level, the details are the strategy.

You have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, talent relations, or deal operations
  • A track record of working with high-profile individuals or their representatives
  • Experience managing complex deal pipelines with multiple stakeholders and long timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English (native or fully fluent, non-negotiable)
  • CRM fluency and genuine love of keeping things organized

You are:

  • Intellectually curious. You read widely. You have opinions. People find conversations with you interesting
  • Operationally relentless. Nothing falls through the cracks because you built the system that catches everything
  • Warm but professional. You earn trust quickly because you are genuine, prepared, and respectful of people’s time
  • Energized by high-stakes relationships, not stressed by them
  • Already using AI tools daily. ChatGPT, Claude, or similar are part of how you work, not something you are curious about trying
  • Comfortable working in person in Old Montreal

This Role is NOT For You If:

  • Your BD experience is purely B2B SaaS or enterprise sales
  • You need a fully built playbook before you can operate
  • You see partnerships as a numbers game rather than a relationship craft
  • You want a remote job
  • Your instinct is to strategize rather than execute. We need someone who ships

What Success Looks Like

  • Every expert in our pipeline has a clear status, next step, and owner at all times
  • Our founders walk into every meeting fully prepared with zero effort on their part
  • Follow-ups go out within 24 hours of every conversation, without being asked
  • Expert teams enjoy working with you and respond to your messages
  • You can take a meeting solo and the expert leaves more excited about Onix than before

How to Apply
