Welcome to Onix: Mark Sisson
Former elite endurance athlete, NYT bestselling author, and founder of Primal Kitchen. The man who defined the ancestral health movement.

We are thrilled to welcome Mark Sisson to Onix.
Mark Sisson is a former elite endurance athlete, New York Times bestselling author, and the founder of Primal Kitchen, which he self-funded and sold to Kraft Heinz for $200 million without raising a dollar of venture capital.
Before all of that, he ran a 2:18 marathon, placed 4th at the Ironman World Championship, and qualified for the Olympic Trials. Then his body broke down from the very training conventional wisdom told him was healthy. That breakdown became a decades-long mission. He launched Mark’s Daily Apple (3 million monthly readers at its peak), wrote The Primal Blueprint and The Keto Reset Diet (both NYT bestsellers), and helped define the ancestral health movement. At 72, he is still building: his latest venture is Peluva, a minimalist barefoot shoe company, and his newest book, Born to Walk, challenges everything the running industry sold him in his twenties.
I spent my athletic career following the rules, and it nearly destroyed my health. Everything I’ve built since has been about helping people find what actually works for their biology. Onix gives me a way to do that one person at a time, at scale.
